The important role of (Governance Institute for Directors GIoD) which calls for the implementation of (Governance / Good Governance) was acknowledged and clarified by the respected (Mr. Wadih Nouri Al-Handal) / Chairman of the Iraq Private Banks League, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Governance Institute for Directors at the Neinawa Investment Forum which was held during the period (3-5/12/2019) in the Divan Hotel and was sponsored and organized by USAID and in the presence of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Iraqi government, and the American government; and the participation of many American, European and Iraqi investors with the aim of rebuilding and re-investing in Nineveh.

Iraq does not lack expertise, minds, or financing, but we lack good governance and optimal use of resources that lie in the application of governance where in order to build the correct and strong structure for institutions, whether in the public or private sector, we must apply governance that ensures attracting investment and corporate sustainability for future generations and increasing profitability and enabling a control environment that limits corruption.
